Calendar of Events

May 2010

• Mon. 5th at 7:00 p.m. JROTC Booster Meeting - JROTC Room
• Sat 15th - Annual MCJROTC Military Ball at the Monaca Turners.
  Invitations will be mailed the this week
  $12 a ticket - cadets are free if they participate in Tag Day
  We will begin looking for donations for cadet prizes and Chinese Auction
  Flowers and cakes will be ordered soon
  Favors will be ordered this week - Chocolate wafers from Holman’s
  Does anyone have any other ideas they would like to add?
  Photographer, DJ, and Chaplain are scheduled
  1st year will be sized next week for their service uniform
• Washington DC - Dates are May 21 & May 22
  The Cadets will be leaving at 4:30am on May 21. Once in Washington, the cadets will get to visit the Memorials and Air & Space Museum. They will be attending the Marine Corp evening Parade at 7:00pm that evening. The cadets will then spend the night at the Days Inn in Arlington. On Saturday, the cadets will take a guided tour of the cemetery and get to witness the changing of the Guards. On this trip, the cadets will tour the capital Building and possibly the White House. The cadets will return home on Saturday evening.

June 2010

• 3rd week of June - trip to Roanoke, VA with West Allegheny JROTC
  There will not be a cost for this trip, it will be a high adventure week.
• Summer Camps - There are many different opportunities for camps during the summer.
  
  
  • 3 Cadets are attending Boys State June 20-26
  • 1 Cadet is attending Girls State
  • 6 Cadets are attending Butler Camp Cadet August 8-13
  • 4 Cadets are attending Leadership Camp
  • 6 Cadets are attending State Police Youth Week June 13-19
  • Sgt Curtis is looking into taking cadets to Gettysburg June 21-25
• Summer Pool Party/ Picnic - Date TBD
